Our Minister
John Jewell serves as the Senior Minister of Homestead Church of Christ. He and his wife, Samantha, along with their family, joined our church family in July 2025, bringing a deep passion for preaching the Word, building unity, and reaching the community with the love of Jesus.
John has a heart for both the local church and global missions. Before coming to Homestead, he and Samantha spent many years serving in international ministry, including in Brazil, Africa, and most recently Costa Rica. They have helped establish and support various Christian education and discipleship programs, most notably The HUGS for Tomorrow ministry—a developing pre-K through 12 school and feeding program in Malawi, Africa. His experience in cross-cultural ministry, combined with his commitment to biblical teaching, equips him to lead our congregation in truth and grace.
In addition to his role at the church, John has taught high school Bible at Redland Christian Academy, where he has recently taken on the role of interim principal, investing daily in the next generation of believers. He is known for his clear, Scripture-centered preaching, his approachable and genuine spirit, and his unwavering belief that every person matters to God.
John and Samantha are the proud parents of grown children and grandparents to a growing family. They are deeply grateful to be part of the Homestead Church of Christ family and look forward to walking alongside you as we grow together in Christ.
